CLARIFY News

We are proud to extend our legacy as NYC’s oldest nonprofit investigative news agency by empowering youth and strengthening communities through this unique training program for high school students in public service journalism.

CLARIFY launched in 2014 as the City Limits Accountability Reporting Initiative for Youth, and has been generously supported by the Pinkerton Foundation, Google News Initiative, Harman Family Foundation, DJ McManus Foundation and the Dow Jones News Fund.

OUR MISSION

We believe an informed citizenry is a critical component for a healthy, thriving community. Introducing youth to the power of public-service journalism not only gives them real-world work, civics, and writing experience, it can also have a significant downstream impact on the student, and society.

Apply to Clarify

Applications are open for the Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 sessions. This is a paid journalism training program for NYC high school students across the five boroughs who will be entering their junior or senior year of high school (11th or 12th grades) in the upcoming school year. Students graduating from high school this June are also eligible.
