City Limits celebrates it’s 46th anniversary this year, and marked the milestone at our annual fundraiser gala last month, where honoring several prominent New Yorkers. If you missed the festivities, you can still support the cause this Giving Tuesday.
A patchwork of agencies, stakeholders and community groups help provide language-specific educational materials and translation services around city elections, what experts say is essential to making sure residents aren’t locked out of the democratic process.

Nayma Silver-Matos, Manny De Los Santos, and Edwin De La Cruz are the three candidates vying to replace Carmen De La Rosa, who resigned her seat when she was elected to represent the City Council’s 10th district.
This is a paid journalism training program for NYC high school students and comes with a $1,000 stipend. The new deadline is Friday, Oct. 8.
