On January 23rd, 2024, the inaugural meeting of the Public Housing Preservation Trust took place at CAMBA Sheepshead Bay Cornerstone, located at NYCHA’s Sheepshead Bay Houses. The meeting, titled "Modernization Launch at Nostrand Houses," was led by the four-member Preservation Trust team. During the meeting several questions were raised by residents regarding their concerns about the timeline , demolition, lease agreements, scope of the renovations, cost of moving and their belongings to name a few.
