As first reported by DNAinfo, the long-awaited Bush Terminal Piers Park is taking major steps toward opening. The city’s Economic Development Corporation announced this week that construction will be completed in the next six weeks. The site will still have to get state approval of its remediation before it can open, though.

Brooklyn Bureau reported in May on growing impatience about the site, which was due to open last fall.
