Upcoming Housing and Land Use-Related Events:*
- Monday, July 29 at 8 p.m.: Listener-supported radio station WBAI will air “Housing Notebook” where hosts Scott Sommer and Vajra Kilgour will discuss issues related to affordable housing, tenants’ rights, and take calls from listeners. More here.
- Tuesday, July 30 at 9:30 a.m.: NYC’s Landmarks Preservation Commission will meet to discuss several land use applications, including one to establish a “master plan” governing future modifications of the shoreline and pathways in Central Park’s Harlem Meer. More here.
- Tuesday, July 30 at 5:30 p.m.: The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) will host a public hearing on its annual and five-year plans. More here.
- Tuesday, July 30 at 6 p.m.: The Department of Housing, Preservation and Development and Housing Court Answers will host a one-hour Zoom workshop on navigating housing court. More here.
- Wednesday, July 31 at 10 a.m.: The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA)’s board will hold its monthly meeting. More here.
- Monday, Aug. 5 at 1 p.m.: The NYC Planning Commission will hold a review session. More here.
NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries Ending Soon: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.
- 12-19 31st Drive Apartments, Queens, for households earning between $89,143 – $218,010
- The Starhill, Bronx, for households earning between $24,446 – $134,160
