Upcoming Housing and Land Use-Related Events:

  • Thursday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.: The State Senate’s standing committee on Housing, Construction, and Community Development will hold a public hearing on deed theft. More here. 
  • Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: The NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development is hosting a Tenant Resource Fair, over Zoom, to educate the community on rent protection for low-income individuals, housing lotteries, and discrimination protections. More here.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 9:30 a.m.: The NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission is holding a public meeting about properties in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan in the public hearing room at 1 Centre St. More here.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. HPD’s Outreach Van, in partnership with NYC Council Member Shaun Abreu, will be located at 500 West 141st St. in Council District 7. In these vans, you can learn more about HPD and housing-related issues such as preparing to apply for affordable housing, understanding your rights and responsibilities, and filing a housing complaint. NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries Ending Soon 

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.
