Election 2018 might feel over, but it’s not: A couple says after the election, a number of races in New York and elsewhere are too close to call, and a number of candidates who appear to have lost have not yet conceded.
But we already know the broad outcome of the voting: Democrats will have control of the state senate for only the second time in half a century, and will have control of the U.S. House for the first time in a decade, although they lost a little ground in the U.S. Senate.
A couple races in Brooklyn helped shape those dramatic results: Max Rose’s upset victory over Dan Donovan in the 11th Congressional district, and Andrew Gounardes’ apparent win over Marty Golden in the 22d Senate district.
What drove these changes? What might they mean for the borough itself? Paula Katinas of the Brooklyn Eagle and Julianne McShane of Brooklyn Daily and the Brooklyn Paper joined me on BRIC-TV’s 112BK on Wednesday to give their takes.
