Last night, City Limits celebrated 40 years of service to the people of New York with a gala event at which we presented DC37 executive director Henry Garrido with the inaugural City Limits Civic Champion Award and recognized Wayne Barrett’s 40 years of investigative reporting with the first-ever City Limits Urban Journalism Award. Let be gala co-chairs Andy Breslau and Elizabeth Cooke Levy, the event was a reunion for many of the writers, advocates, editors, sources, funders and readers who have made City Limits what it is.
