The first issue of City Limits Weekly this year will also be the last. City Limits is taking a break from regular e-bulletin news production to prepare for the relaunch of CityLimits.org in February. The homepage will feature new articles and art over the weeks ahead, so you’ll want to return to the website to take those in – and as ever, to browse one of NYC’s best archives of public policy reportage. We’ll let you know before the new website debuts, because we’re confident you’ll find CityLimits.org more informative, attractive and useful than ever. E-mail bulletins will resume, to direct you to our unique array of breaking news, analysis, features, video and photojournalism from around the five boroughs.

At a time when the shape of news delivery and consumption changes all the time, City Limits is a news source to rely on. We’ve been a nonprofit since 1976, and with our purchase in November by the Community Service Society of New York, City Limits is receiving additional resources that will better enable us to continue reporting on the critical subjects often overlooked by other outlets: affordable housing, homelessness, welfare, workforce development, child welfare, labor, immigration, criminal justice, public health and education, and much more. We uphold traditional journalistic standards and, just as we aim to help keep government and private actors accountable, invite you to keep us accountable too. The dialogue between readers and reporters is invaluable, and we look forward to developing that exchange in 2010 with increased online interactivity as well as more live forums and events. Feel free to send tips and ideas to 2010@citylimits.flywheelstaging.com.

So stay in touch – and stay tuned!
