FYI: Nearly a third of the staff providing direct care to patients in state-run mental health facilities hasn’t completed the Office of Mental Health’s own mandatory training for dealing with crisis situations. So charges a state comptroller’s office audit released last week, which also points out that a fifth of the state’s caregivers haven’t been trained in controlling the spread of infections and ensuring medical records privacy.
