VOCAL-NY holds a rally outside Governor Andrew Cuomo’s New York City office calling for a better response to the opioid crisis on Thursday, August 17.
“New York State should immediately increase funding for the state Department of Health, for education and training of healthcare providers to increase low-threshold buprenorphine access, and for harm reduction programs stretched extremely thin across the state.”
‘Any re-zoning that labels itself environmentally ‘resilient’ or ‘sustainable,’ while failing to protect the residents and businesses who built this neighborhood from the concurrent crises of displacement and environmental racism, will not pass muster in our community.’
