A new report by the office of city Comptroller Scott Stringer examines housing conditions throughout the city, finding that they have generally improved over the city’s history but identifying areas of concern–concentrations of housing code problems in public housing and particular neighborhoods.

Breaking the city into 55 neighborhoods, and using data from the Census Bureau’s Housing and Vacancy Survey, the report finds that five of the 10 highest rates of deficiencies per apartment are in the Bronx.
